Setting up the Gong and Zoho CRM integration

The four decisions to make before we connect Zoho CRM to Gong: which records, how often, which custom fields, and how the mapping is maintained.

Our Gong and Zoho CRM integration sends your CRM data to Gong, so call insights sit next to the deals they belong to. Our team does the technical setup. What we need from you are four decisions, and this guide walks through each one.

1. Which modules and records

The integration sends data from four Zoho modules to Gong:

  • Contacts
  • Accounts
  • Deals
  • Users, who appear in Gong as deal owners

Decide whether to sync every record in these modules or only some of them. For example, you might sync only the deals owned by your sales team.

2. How often to sync

A business with a handful of new deals a day can usually sync once a night. One with a high volume of deals may want an hourly sync, or near-immediate updates. Tell us how quickly Gong needs to see a change.

3. Which custom fields

Most CRMs carry custom fields that matter in Gong: extra contact details, deal parameters, segment or region. List the ones you want to see there.

4. The integration scheme

With those answers, our technicians build an integration scheme: a file that defines the field mapping and the sync schedule between Zoho and Gong. We set it up and test it; you don't need to touch the technical side.

After launch

Your process will change, and the integration can change with it. Need a faster sync, or a new field in Gong? Let us know and we'll update the scheme.
